streetsoccer
streetsoccer is generally delivered through our community-based regional centres. Each centre offers up to 20 service users weekly access to the progressive route described in the ‘Programme Levels’ section at the foot of this page. Sessions are supervised by FA qualified coaches but are very much ‘hands-on’ for service users who are expected to assist in the delivery of sessions as part of their development. To assist service users with a clear pathway of development a structured programme (Levels System) has been implemented. With clear exit strategies and defined development opportunities combined with an ongoing appraisal system, all service users have a clear understanding of their status with us and increased motivation to progress through the different levels on offer.
The streetsoccer programme is based around the delivery of England Football Accredited coaching sessions, based on 11-a-side principles. Our sessions provide service users with a broad experience, which leads to qualifications, work experience and voluntary work opportunities. Sessions are ‘peer led’, with users responsible for planning, delivery and evaluation of weekly sessions. Individuals take responsibility each week for warm-up and cool-down exercises, delivering appropriate technical skill sessions and organising match play.
